Everything on a Waffle By: Polly Horvath
Primrose is an orphan, and there isn't a line of people waiting to adopt her.Her inheritance pays Miss Perfidy an hourly wage to baby-sit her, the town council soon is able to locate her Uncle Jack, who takes Primrose into his guardianship. Her safe haven can always be found at a restaurant called "The Girl in the Swing", where everything — including spaghetti —is served on a waffle.
As she navigates through a series of adventures, waiting for her parents, Primrose observes all sorts of human qualities in the people who come into her life: an elderly neighbor, the school guidance counselor, her wheeler-dealer uncle, a childless couple, and the always ready to listen restaurant owner, who serves everything on a waffle. This humorous novel is full of fun and the development of his young kid.
I read this when I was about 10yrs old. It was really cute but if you are looking for juvenile fun read this great book!
